Whaitere, Te Arai
Whaitere is a highly crafted coastal home at Te Arai, delivered through early and close collaboration with Ponting Fitzgerald Architects. The sculptural, radiating form required detailed coordination from the outset, with structure, sequencing, and junctions carefully resolved before construction began.
Board‑formed concrete and cedar were executed with precision to withstand the exposed coastal environment while sitting lightly in the landscape. Despite its complexity, the project progressed smoothly due to strong alignment between client, architect, and our team of carpenters.
Recently blessed by local iwi and named Whaitere, the home reflects Oliver Tuck Construction’s commitment to workmanship, process, and building architecture of lasting quality.
