Mangawhai, Northland

Originally referred to as “The Great Room”, this home really must be seen to truly appreciate its complex design and opulent finishing’s. As its namesake suggests, as you enter this stunning home you cannot help but be impressed by the greatness of the main living/dining/kitchen area.

Large sliding doors along the entire front of the main living space frame the uninterrupted ocean and country views while also creating a seamless indoor/outdoor flow to a sweeping deck, complete with in-ground firepit, providing the ultimate entertainer’s dream home.

With a luxurious coastal palette made up of neutral tones, layered by charcoal and dark oaky timber and contrasting cedar panelling you can’t help but be impressed by the beauty of this home. With that being said, the client’s main brief throughout the build was that it was a home to be lived in, not just looked at. So while there is a lot to love about the aesthetics of the well thought-out design, there is also a great deal of emphasis on comfort.
